Mr. Ronald E. Bowers has worked as an attorney in the Los Angeles Superior Courts where he has been embroiled in some of the most sensational trials of the century. Many of those cases involved celebrities and movie stars who were being victimized and in some cases were the suspects. He learned about these Hollywood cases from the police investigation phase all the way through the fierce drama in the courtroom.
After he retired, he decided to write about some of the amazing cases he worked on. As a result, he has authored over 40 True Crime books. His writings delve into the fascinating facts and gives the reader insight as to what occurred behind the scenes and how new forensic methods such as DNA can be used to track down the culprit.
For over ten years, he has been a Special Interest Speaker throughout the world for cruise ships and various groups explaining the courtroom dynamics involving some of the high-profile cases.
Over the years he has appeared in dozens of TV Documentaries regarding various famous criminal justice cases he participated in. He was highlighted in three of the episodes of the Netflix series, Homicide- Los Angeles.
By popular demand he has produced numerous podcasts on You Tube titled True Crime Files of Los Angeles where he explains the Criminal Justice System. He discusses the inside story of many of the publicity cases he handled while examining the intricacies of the Law.
He received his BS degree from UCLA and did the unthinkable by crossing town where he received his JD degree from the rival USC Law School. He has worked as a corporate counsel in Beverly Hills and later gained litigation experience serving as a prosecutor for the Los Angeles County DA’s Office for 43 years.
He is married and lives with his family in the suburbs of Los Angeles County.
